[edit] Information
The Yellow Hornets and the Tyrant Queen The dramatic life of a colony of Japanese yellow hornets begins in spring as a lone queen builds a small nest. Within weeks, it grows into a fortress bigger than a beer barrel. Spectacular macro footage shows thousands of workers constantly enlarging the nest, hunting for insects in the nearby fields, and defending their fortress against attacks by giant hornets.
